Become a Pilot
FDFS provides flight training information for the following certificates and ratings:
Private Pilot
Everyone goes through different struggles when piloting a quadcopter for the first time. UAV flying definitely has a learning curve.
So if you’re having trouble flying your quad, you’re just getting started, or you’re looking to hone your skills — don’t worry.
You’re in the right place.
Requirements
- Must either own or able to have access to a Quadcopter
Commercial Pilot
If you live in the United States and want to earn money as a professional drone pilot, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires you / your business to apply for and to successfully obtain a 333 Exemption.
It’s a long story, but the FAA has been accepting these requests since late May 2014 and trying to figure out this whole drone / UAV certification thing for a while now. By the beginning of 2015, only about a dozen companies had been approved to fly drones commercially. At less than a year later, and that number has skyrocketed up to 2000+ approved exemptions.
